On the last Saturday of January, the Confucius Institute at Vilnius University was buzzing with children's excitement and enthusiasm, as the much-anticipated Chinese language and culture quiz took place.
And this has almost become a tradition, because for the second year in a row, celebrating the Chinese New Year, we are consolidating knowledge in a cheerful and festive mood. The event was attended not only by children studying Chinese at our institute, but also by children from Vilnius gymnasiums, where we teach Chinese.
In the quiz, children competed in 3 rounds and demonstrated their abilities by memorizing the meanings of hieroglyphs, choosing the correct Chinese expressions, and demonstrating their knowledge of Chinese culture.
Here we not only had a good time, repeated what we had learned, but also enjoyed Chinese delicacies.
At the end of the event, we presented the children with YCT exam certificates and we all celebrated their excellent results together.
The biggest thanks to the teachers for their consistent work and patience. It is a great joy to see growing, curious children who have something to be proud of.
We hope that the experience gained at our institute will allow children to choose their life activities and hobbies more freely in the future.
