On November, 19th Vilnius University Confucius Institute organized an online public lecture “The Road of Tea: From a Tea Tree to a Cup”, the speaker of the lecture Giedrius Šapoka, an expert in tea culture and a researcher. Listeners had the opportunity to hear where the oldest tea tree grows, what changes in the Chinese tea industry took place in 2005, got acquainted with the types of tea.
During the lecture, we became convinced that the tea path is not really easy, and it is a process that requires special mastery, in which a person interacts with nature, adapts to it and reveals the enchanting properties of tea taste and flavor.
It is the different production processes that create the variety of teas. We are excited to share our knowledge of what makes good tea, how to harvest it, what challenges tea masters face in striving to ensure the impeccable quality and taste of this magical drink.
